Comments

Contains 20 photographs of the building made by members of the Scratch Orchestra led by Cornelius Cardew. Each person made a panel and the panels were then bolted together. System designed by Stefan Szczelkun. The idea was to house the "Refuse Collection" - the conventional art objects made by members of the collective. It was also intended to be a place where members could play Scratch Music - a meditative ambient improvisational form that provided the basis of Scratch Orchestra practice. Photos taken by Stefan Szczelkun. A selection of which were shown at Documenta 14 in Athens.
